The first-ever production right-hand drive Jaguar E-Type, this particular E-Type has all the coveted features enthusiasts look for in an early example, including the flat floor, welded hood louvers, and external hood latches.
This is a 1961 Jag E Type Series 1 and a 1st year of production, also one of the first few built in an RH drive option. The Jag arrived in our workshop at the same time as the MG TC 9637 show in our previous projects in the same poor condition having endured the floods that hit Brisbane in 2022 (same owner), the car was under water for approximately two weeks and continued to stand untouched after the floods until arriving at our door in June 2024. This is a full Restoration project on a true classic that deserves to be restored to its former glory. One of the most important and historically significant road-going British cars in existence – the first-ever production right-hand drive Jaguar E-Type.
