The car was purchased in 2012 as a project car from Beverly Hills Car Club in Santa Monica California and shipped to Brisbane where it was not touched until it was purchased by our customer in 2024 and arrived at the Garagisti workshop to be restored to its former glory. Our customer wants this car restored to Concourse level and is not sparing any expense when it comes to restoring it to the true original version. We are proud and honoured to have been selected to restore this true piece of history. The Austin-Healey 3000 Mark III BJ8, produced from 1963 to 1967, is a significant model in the history of Austin-Healey sports cars. It is known for its burl walnut dash, wind-up windows, and lockable glovebox, making it a sought-after classic among enthusiasts. The BJ8 model represents just over 24 percent of total big Austin-Healey production and is often regarded as the quintessential Austin Healey to own.
